Prince William & Kate Middleton Finally Get Their Honeymoon
Better Late than Never
In the days following Prince William?s Royal Wedding to Kate Middleton, we saw photos of Wills gettin? back to work with his Royal Air Force rescue team and photos of Kate doing a bit of grocery shopping. The couple had to delay their honeymoon because of Wills?s work schedule. Today we learn that William finally completed his duties and has been given leave to take his honeymoon ? which he did. It is being reported that Wills and Kate have jetted off to a private island in the Seychelles to enjoy, at last, their honeymoon together.
Prince William and Kate Middleton, the new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, have arrived in the Seychelles for their honeymoon after flying out on a private jet last night. Their romantic break, which comes 10 days after their Westminster Abbey royal wedding, was confirmed by St James?s Palace. A spokeswoman for the Indian Ocean country?s department of tourism said the royal couple landed at the country?s main airport at 7.20am local time this morning. They were then transferred by helicopter to a private island where they were expected to spend 10 days at a secluded villa. The name of the island where they are staying has not been confirmed. On Monday, the couple were seen leaving their Anglesey home with large amounts of luggage ? The couple only have a few weeks to squeeze in their romantic break before they begin their first joint tour. They are due to visit Canada and California for 10 days. Prince William, 28, and his 29-year-old wife have previously enjoyed holidays together in the Caribbean island of Mustique. It is understood that the second in line to the throne had kept the honeymoon destination a secret, but that it was going to be somewhere warm.
Even tho we are talking about a royal honeymoon with private jets, helicopters and islands, for the most part Wills and Kate have kept things relatively normal. Most couples just jet off on their honeymoons as soon as they are wed but a great many cannot do so because of work and/or family issues. I?m certain that William could?ve gotten the early time off from his RAF duties if he really wanted to but instead he decided to work the week after his wedding and push back his honeymoon. Now the couple are sunning themselves, presumably, on holiday together ? perhaps they are even planning on making a baby ;) Here?s hoping the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge truly get to relax and enjoy their 10-day honeymoon on their private island. Hmmm ? must be nice.
