New, but not really.

Pardon me, I'm really bad at these.

Hi there, I'm Celaira! You can call me anything you want, I don't mind random nicknames if you want to give them to me. My name is Megan if you want to use that.

First off, I guess I should start off with the fact I lurked on the site long before I joined, and because I'm an overly nervous person whose run into a lot of elitist RP sites I made my account and then floundered when I thought about joining an RP. I mean, I honestly didn't think this place would be somewhere where elitists would prosper, but you never know. Anyway... Did I mention I was bad at these? Yes? 'Kay.. On my random and most likely unnecessary hiatus from both this site and pbp roleplaying all together, I started to teach a few of my friends about the wonders of RPing. Granted, they all started out using asterisks for actions and such, though I have no idea why. *cough* Moving on.. *cough* Because of this, I'm kind of afraid that I've lost... Something, I'm just not quite sure what. I know that when I started roleplaying six years ago, I wasn't very good (that's an understatement), and I think I've delved back into the bad habits a completely new roleplayer gets into. I also feel like my writing is seriously lacking, which is bad considering I want to become a published author someday.

I actually got into roleplay because I write stories so much, and I get so many ideas in my head that it becomes hard to focus on one singular idea. Though, the way I happened upon roleplay is another matter entirely. I was on an anime site that had a chatbox on the right hand side, and there were people who were roleplaying (asterisks for actions style), being curious I diecided to make an account and join in. I made a couple of friends from that day, and gradually began to RP more and more. after about a year and a half of roleplaying on that site, I wanted to see what else was out there in the roleplay world. And so, I left the chat site, and did a Google search for general RP sites. I found a few that I liked and joined them upon reading their rules and such, and there I learned what it meant to actually be a roleplayer (in my opinion). To weave a story through the interactions of one's characters was beyond fun. Sadly though, the sites that I loved so much died. And I became nomadic, migrating from site to site, looking for something worthwhile. I found a lot of good roleplay sites and a lot of horrible roleplay sites, and then , sometime around last year I found this place. Thus, I began to lurk, and finally decided to join in September.
