Small Business group prefers Republicans
By JR Hoeft | September 27, 2011 | in Politics ?????The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has taken an interest in Virginia politics.
In the past week, they have endorsed Caren Merrick (31st), Jeff Frederick (36th), Bill Stanley (20th), Ben Loyola (6th), and Adam Light (38th) in crucial state senate races.
Additionally, Scott Lingamfelter, Ron Villanueva, and Barbara Comstock also got the NFIB nod in their bids to return to the House of Delegates.
It should be no surprise, all the endorsed are Republicans.
As an example of why NFIB chose so many Republicans, one only need to read their statement about Merrick:
?Caren Merrick understands the challenges facing Virginia?s small, family businesses and is the clear choice in Senate District 31,? said Nicole Riley, state director of NFIB/Virginia.
?We believe Caren Merrick will take a fiscally responsible approach to managing state government and support legislation that helps our small businesses grow and create jobs and puts the Commonwealth back on the pathway to success.?
It?s all about allowing small businesses the freedom to be entrepreneurs? Isn?t that just the American dream? Nice to see that Virginia Republicans still remember what it means to be an American.
I wonder why there have been no Democrats endorsed so far?
